The Safety Ministry is a unique Ministry designed to recognize, develop, implement, and train for the Health, Safety, and Security needs of the St. Oscar Romero Parish. We are all-inclusive and welcome members with the same ambition to promote Safety, Health, Accessibility, and Security on all three St. Oscar Romero Parish Campuses. We are also a Faith-Based Community orientated Outreach Organization.

The Safety Ministry would like to say “We Are Still Here and Active, Serving our Parishioners”!
Our latest project was to organize and gather 100 - CDC Compliant Face Masks for our Church Reopening. With the many resources the Safety Ministry has accumulated, a Seamstress which is a good friend of Chairperson-Scott Moore has stepped up to sew 100 CDC Compliant, reusable, and already sterilized masks for our Adult and Child Parishioners. This woman donated all the time and materials needed to accomplish this task. These masks will be used by the Parishioners that do not have a mask to wear while attending Mass. The Safety Ministry prides itself in providing services and items to “Protect the Safety, Health, and Well-Being” of every Parishioner of our Combined Churches. The Combined Safety Ministry has been very active during this Covid-19 Pandemic Shutdown. We have been doing Community Outreach to our Emergency Responders. We have provided:
Chartiers Township Police Department
1.) 3 Meals
2.) Box of 100 Nitrile Gloves
3.) 2 Gallons of Hand Sanitizer
4.) 40 CDC compliant reuseable face masks.
Canonsburg Police Department
1.) 2 Gallons of Hand Sanitizer
These are just a few things that we have been doing during our Covid-19 Shutdown. We are always looking for ways to improve the lives and health of our communities and Parishioners. ”God Bless Everyone During These Trying Times”!!!
